Definition:
Model Public Governance (MPG) refers to local ward offices that embody transparency, accountability, efficiency, and citizen-centric service delivery. [While public governance encompasses local, provincial and federal governments, we’ve limited our scope to local level for now.]
Purpose:
To create model ward offices that set standards for effective governance across Nepal.
Objectives:
- Good Governance: Transparent decision-making, financial accountability, and citizen participation.
- Efficient Services: Quick, reliable, and accessible public service delivery.
- Digital Governance: E-governance tools, open data, and digital platforms for service delivery.
- Participatory Planning: Community involvement in local planning, budgeting, and monitoring.
- Rule of Law: Fair, inclusive, and rights-based governance practices.
