Definition:
Model Public Healthcare (MPH) refers to health posts that provide modern, accessible, affordable, and preventive healthcare services as models for other health posts in Nepal.  [While public healthcare encompasses hospitals, provincial and federal governments, we’ve limited our scope to local level for now.]

Purpose:
To create model health posts that inspire nationwide improvement in Nepal’s public healthcare system.

Objectives:

  • Accessible Services: Healthcare within reach for rural and urban populations.
  • Preventive Focus: Emphasis on awareness, screenings, and community health programs.
  • Modern Infrastructure: Well-equipped facilities with digital health records and telemedicine.
  • Equity in Care: Priority to vulnerable groups—women, children, elderly, and marginalized.
  • Community Health Workers: Strengthening local capacity for primary and preventive care.

Projects:

  • Projects are currently in the phase of preliminary planning and will be announced when the time comes..
